Can I access my data from anywhere?
With the new HostelPower Server you can access your data on any computer that you install HostelPower on. Towards Summer 2008 we are expecting to release an add-on to the server product that will allow you to remotely access your hostel through any web browser from any location.
Can I take bookings directly from my website and have the bookings go directly into HostelPower?
We are expecting to release a HostelPower booking engine product that plugs in to the HostelPower Server, that you can easily embed directly into your own website. This is expected also towards the end of 2008. This will allow you to take bookings directly from your website and have them go directly into HostelPower. It will also allow HostelPower to manage your website availability directly, without ever thinking about it.
How difficult will it be to train my staff to use HostelPower?
Our feedback to date has been that HostelPower is very easy to learn. We have personally been operating HostelPower in two hostels for over three years and have trained dozens of receptionists on it. It generally takes one to two days to become familiar with the product. Anyone with basic experience with Microsoft Windows will not have any difficulty learning the program. Also, the program is available in six languages currently (English, German, Italian, Polish, Russian, and Spanish) to make it easier to use.

HostelPower Server is now officially released. It allows you to run HostelPower on multiple computers in different locations. All data will be stored on a central server that you host.
